Hello everyone!
I was advised to write a little about me post where you could all ask me questions if you like.
My name is Schingiuire (Sss-chin-jeeeooo-ire It's a Romanian word for torture). I've been writing Hellsing fanfiction for about three or four years now. I suppose I am mostly known by a fiction called Leashed Darkness, which I am also currently rewriting. I live in the state of Georgia in the United States, own five dogs, one cat, a lot of rabbits and chickens, and a lot of parrots. I'm 21, and enjoy reading, writing, and various other fun things. I have very poor health but never let that get in the way of what I enjoy doing. I enjoy realism in fantasy and go to great lengths to make my stories as 'real' as possible for the reader.

In this entry you can ask me any questions about myself, my work, and my opinion. I love answering questions and you may ask them in Russian if you like. A friend is translating for me so that I may read and respond to you all.

Мне посоветовали написать немного о себе, создать пост, где каждый мог бы задать мне интересующие вопросы.
Меня зовут Schingiuire ( по-румынски это слово означает "пытка" и читается примерно как "Схчинъюйре"). Я пишу фанфикшен по Хеллсингу уже почти четыре года. Полагаю, что наиболее известное и популярное мое произведение это "Тьма на поводке". И этот фик я в сейчас переделываю (прим. переводчика - к данному моменту уже опубликована первая глава новой версии "Тьма на поводке" - Version 2 на FF. net) Живу я в Штате Джорджия в США, и являюсь счастливым хозяином пяти собак, кошки, множества кроликов, кур и попугаев. Мне 21 год . Люблю читать, писать фикшен, и помимо этого у меня множество других интересных увлечений. У меня очень плохое здоровье, но я никогда не позволяю этому факту мешать мне заниматься тем, что мне нравится. Я люблю реализм в фикшене и временами пишу чрезвычайно долго, так как стараюсь сделать фики максимально приближенными к реальности.

I have read your stories and was very impressed by Leashed Darkness. Thanks a lot - it's very interesting story. Maybe you've already read my words that Dafna translated for you. About perfect pcsychology of dominant and sub-dominant you wrote. I own 3 dogs myself and I learned zoo-pcsychology very closely. That's why I was pleased to see so good-written story. And I'm happy to meet you and have a chance to talk and discuss. If it won't be disturbing and unpleasant for you.

Hello Annatary! Do not worry about your English, I understand your words and meaning just fine :3

I like to write more on a physiological level of the characters, I feel like that is where more damage can be done than physical. I am a dog owner myself and understand the techniques in training them. Mostly, though, when I write the stories, I like to imagine myself in each character's position, with their thoughts and personality, turn myself into them, then judge how I/they would act, think, and feel.

Мне нравится играть с психологией персонажей, поскольку я считаю на психологическом уровне можно нанести гораздо больше вреда, нежели на физическом. Я тоже собачник и прекрасно понимаю технику тренировки животных. И я использую это в своих произведениях. Часто я стараюсь представить себя на месте моего персонажа, думать и вести себя так же, как он, практически перевоплощаюсь в моего героя, и потом уже начинаю рассуждать о том, как и что бы я сделала и что бы чувствовала на его месте.

Мне очень приятно, что тебе нравится мое творчество. ^_^

Schingiuire And as I have a chance to ask you questions... I always wanted to know: why Abraham and Alucard? Why not Alucard and Integra for example? And what do you think about Abraham himself? Cause in first Leashed he is very cruel to the vampire. But how much is he a bad guy in casual life -with humans? with his neighbours? Is he able to betray, cheat, lie? Do bad thing to people?

Dafna536 "Why Abraham and Alucard?" Because I believe the relationship is deeper with Abraham and Alucard. With Integra people like to make everything sexual. That and I'm not all that good at writing with female characters, despite my own gender. Abraham was the strongest of the Helsings, a hero, and perhaps a monster himself. Abraham took the task of taming a demon. And Abraham is also a True Human, something Alucard often mentions with respect. I like to write with Abraham because he is, in a sense, part of me as well. A secret part I like to bring out only in these fictions, a darker part. Abraham is flawed in so many ways, at least my version of him is. Remember I am only speaking with the Abraham I represent, not as he is written by anyone else.

I'm not particularly wild about writing sex scenes of any gender on any gender. But I have viewed sex as a domination tool used in the animal kingdom and view that as one of the things Abraham used against Alucard for extreme measures. All in all, I am not absolutely sure WHY Abraham and Alucard. There is just something that draws me to it. When I first started reading hellsing fanfiction I could not find any, so decided to start writing it myself. Abraham would have had to be the only person who could TRULY hold Dracula. All others are only holding a leash that was already in place. Abraham is a great mind and a great power, and clashes with the vampire king in so many ways. It just seems perfect to me. Plus, BDSM is fun.

Personality wise, I believe Abraham has two sides to himself, the sides he shows humans, and the sides he shows those things he hunts. I try to write him as being someone who could be very calm and collected one moment, then snap at the slightest pressure into a person who could perform great cruelties with no remorse. So in this sense, he is like Dracula. In the history books it was written that Dracula had a legendary temper, that he could snap at a moment's notice. So which is the monster?

To normal people, I see Abraham as being the king, generous, and loving individual, caring for his friends and family. He is a doctor and in the book DRacula he showed sadness and care toward the sick. I do not see him as the type of person who could easily betray his loved ones and friends, however, I could see him doing so in order to protect them or for a greater good.

Мне нравится делать его героем этих историй, поскольку он в каком-то роде часть меня. Тайная часть моей личности, которую я выпускаю на свободу только в своих произведениях, моя темная половина. В плане личности Абрахам "дефектен" во многих отношениях, по крайней мере в версии моего личного фанона. Учтите, я буду говорить о нем именно как о герое моих произведений, а не как о персонаже, созданном другими авторами (Прим. переводчика. - Я так понимаю, что Счин имеет в виду, что Абрахам в "Поводке" - это в каком-то смысле созданный ею ОС, а не профессор, описанный Стокером и Хирано, с чем я не могу не согласиться, поскольку "поводковый" Абрахам разительно отличается от каконического профессора Ван Хелсинга)

Я не против высокорейтинговых сцен между персонажами любого пола, но я замечала, что секс в животном мире часто используется как один из инструментов подчинения, и рассматриваю его. как крайнюю меру воздействия, применяемую Абрахамом в отношении Алукарда. Но в конечном счете, я, честно принаться, не могу сказать точно, ПОЧЕМУ именно Абрахам и Алукард. Что-то притягивает меня к этому пейрингу. Когда я впервые взялась за чтение фанфикшена по Хеллсингу, я не смогла найти фиков по этой паре, а потому решила написать что-то сама. Абрахам был для меня единственным персонажем, который ПО-НАСТОЯЩЕМУ покорил и подчинил Дракулу. Все остальные лишь держали готовый поводок, который был им прицеплен. Абрахам - это человек неверояной воли и огромного ума, при этом так непохожий на Короля Вампиров. Идеальная ситуация. Ну и помимо всего прочего, БДСМ - это весело.

Я считаю, что в Абрахаме уживались две половины: та сторона, которую он показывал людям, и та, которую видели лишь те, на кого он охотился. Я представляю его человеком, который в какой-то момент мог быть очень спокойным, хладнокровным и собранным, а через секунду мог внезапно превратиться в того, кто спокойно творит любую жестокость без сомнений и сожалений. А потому, в этом плане он похож на Дракулу. В исторических книгах Дракула описан как человек неординарного, мягко говоря, темперамента, его настроение могло измениться в секунду от малейшего повода. Так кто же монстр?

В отношениях с обычными людьми Абрахам великодушен и ласков, он заботится о своих друзьях и семье. Он врач, и в книге Стокера не раз показывал заботу и участие по отношению к больным людям. Он не похож на человека, который легко может предать своих друзей и любимых, но с другой стороны, он способен на подобные поступки , если посчитает, что это необходимо во благо другим.

I believe it too. And Integra was near with him only for ten years, and most of those years she was just a little girl. I can't see deep love here. (till death do us part and so on) thogh I love this pairing sometimes.

Yep, you have created your own unique OC, I think. He's not like Stoker's Abraham no like Hirano's.

Hello! First, i want to say "Welcome!" to you. And second...

With Integra people like to make everything sexual.

I think, what you are not right. May be, if we will speak about "romance" etc., it will true. But there are many another genre, and in action, drama, specially with hight rating, we will not see this. Therewith, there is not pairing A/I in manga... i cann't call myself big specialist in world fanfiction, ecspecially on Hellsing, but i think, what it's right hypothesis.

PS: Sorry... not, SORRY for my English... i know, my common level is really bad, but i will try to wright without many mistake.
PS2: my nick is Emiel Regis(this is the name of character by Andrzej Sapkowski's "The Witcher", Emiel Regis Rogellek Tersieff-Godfroy, vampire and a doctor(wery funy combination, i think).

Эмиель Регис I'm not EXACTLY sure what you were trying to say in your first comment, but I think I understand what you mean. When I say 'sexual' I do not mean a particular genre. Sexual as in how they react to each other in situations. I am not saying all, but very many fanfictions (at least those that I have read) bring the two characters OOC (out of character) so that they can put them together for sexual situations (Sexual situations being anything romantic. Kissing, hugging, sex itself, sleeping together). This is what I am not fond of. Anyone who can write Integra and keep her IC (in character) is one good writer. I've never seen Integra as a person who cares about love, and certainly not for a vampire. Alucard is no romantic either. It is stressed so very often, and many times from his own lips, that he is a monster.

Когда я говорю "sexual" , я не имею ввиду какой-то определенный жанр или рейтинг. "Sexual" - означает то, как они ведут себя в разных ситуациях. Я не берусь утверждать, что во всех, но во множестве фанфиков (по крайней мере в тех, которые я читала), герои очень ООСны и сделано это, в общем, для того, чтобы поставить их в какие-нибудь "sexual" ситуации (это все, что касается романтики: поцелуи, объятия, сам по себе секс, совместный сон одной постели и пр.) Вот именно это мне не нравится. Любой, кто, описывая Интегру, сможет написать этот персонаж IC ( "в характере") определенно хороший автор. Я никогда не замечала, чтобы канонная Интегра волновалась о любви, и уж точно не к вампиру. Алукард тоже не особенно романтичен. В каноне неоднократно подчеркивается, причем из уст самого Алукарда, то, что он монстр.

Хм... очевидно, мы друг друга не совсем поняли. Я не имел в виду какой-либо жанр. Я хотел сказать, что, если фикрайтер хотел написать каноничного персонажа, любая романтика между 400-тлетним вампиром и его хозяйкой по определению должна отсутствовать(в первую очередь со стороны вампира) (поскольку в каноне(манге) не наблюдается -- исключение С/П). А наиболее часто каном встечается в серьёзных жанрах, где есть возможность для полнценного развития крупного сюжета.

Hm... i see, what we did not understand the one of the other completely. I didn't speak in my post of some kind of genre. I only wanted to speak, what, if writer wanted to wright IC, when any romantic between 400-years vampire and his Master(expecially, if we speak about Alu) should be absent (because there isn't romantic in canon(manga) -- exception S/P). As i think, IC most often meets in serious genre, where there is a possibility for full-grown story development.

Hmm. It seems to me there's some misunderstanding between us. I didn't mean any definite genre. I wanted to say that if a writer wants to describe a canon character, any romantic between 400-years-old vampire and his Master (especially if we talk about Alu) shoudn't exist in his fic on default. Cause there's no any romantic in canon/manga - with the one exeption -Pip/Seras. And serios genre often imply canon characters.

Moderator's note: I can't see any real defference between your opinions. It's just that Emiel probably has read some fics where Integra appeared as canon character, without any romantic feelings to Alucard. And Alucard was also only her servant.

Schingiuire So.. questions about Abraham.
First : Does his wife live in asylum? What are the relations between them? I mean - if there any sex now, when she is lunatic.
If not where he finds it? He's a healthy strong man, I believe he needs it.
Second: He has no any hesitations or promlems of any kind, when he rapes Alucard, so... it seems he has an expirience of homosexual relationships. Then who was that lucky man, who played a role of his partner?

Dafna536 First: That depends on what story you are asking me about. In most of them I have her in the asylum. In Leashed Darkness V2 I have her living with him, having never been in an asylum. I do not believe he has much, if any sex with her because she is so frail of mind. Where does he find it? I would not know. I do know, though, that I write him where he has the idea that having sex with other women is very wrong since he his married. But men do not infringe upon that.

Second: Dunno, probably Seward was his first.

She's about a head shorter than Abraham. Kinda plump but not fat. She has cherub features, heart shaped face, and long curly blond hair that falls to below her shoulders. "Blue eyes were framed by the few strands of loose curls that had worked their way from the clip that held most of her hair at the top of her head. Her features were almost cherub like, with a small nose, soft eyes set in a rosy cheeked face. Her lips were plump and a deep pink, partly open to expose ivory teeth, just slightly crooked."

Dafna536 yep I took down old leashed so things wouldn't get confusing. It's up on my site though.

Abraham is 5ft 10inches tall. Elizabeth would be about 5ft 5 inches tall. About, give or take an inch or two.
Alucard would be around 6ft 3inches tall

I am a big fan of your writing. I read Leashed Darkness back in July. I thought it was a riveting story with complex psychological aspects that show how Alucard became the twisted individual he is. I was hoping to reread the story but have not been able to find it anywhere. I don't know if I'm just not seeing it anywhere (and if so where is it please >.< or if it's not posted anymore would there be a way for me to receive a copy? I really enjoy the story and want to relive the tale.
